About the Role

We're looking for a Back End Engineer with strong MERN stack experience to help us build and scale the server-side infrastructure of our platform. You'll work closely with frontend, product, and operations to design reliable APIs, manage deployments, and keep our systems running smoothly at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, building clean and maintainable systems, and thriving in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js

• Work with MongoDB to model data, optimize queries, and ensure integrity across the platform

• Own deployment pipelines using Vercel and GitHub (CI/CD, branching strategies, environment management)

• Write and maintain server-side logic in JavaScript (Node.js) and Python

• Collaborate with the frontend team on React.js integration, API contracts, and smooth end-to-end data flow

• Monitor system performance, debug backend issues, and handle real-world production edge cases

• Contribute to backend architecture decisions and advocate for scalable, maintainable code

• Collaborate with QA, frontend, and product teams on feature delivery

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience after completing a university degree

• Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js

• Heavy proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) — our primary language across the stack

• Solid experience with deployment via Vercel and CI/CD workflows on GitHub

• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or service-level tasks

• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs

• Familiarity with React.js — sufficient to collaborate with the frontend team and understand the full request lifecycle

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to system reliability

• Ability to work independently and communicate well across a remote, cross-timezone team

Nice to Have

• Experience with authentication systems (JWT, OAuth, session management)

• Familiarity with background jobs, queues, or event-driven architectures

• Experience on SaaS platforms, dashboards, or admin systems

• Basic understanding of security best practices (rate limiting, input validation, data sanitization)

• Exposure to logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain domains — a genuine plus
