Logistics Pricing & Contracts Analyst

Batchship.com is hiring a math-driven pricing and contracts analyst to build, price and protect our shipping rate cards across Ocean, Air and Domestic Parcel. You will turn carrier contracts from FedEx, UPS, DHL, GLS and others into accurate, margin-safe customer pricing, and load it correctly into our systems. You will also watch customer credit health so the business can grow safely. Some customers prepay; for those on credit, you will monitor exposure, request payment and support the AR team on collections when needed. This is a remote role based in India working US hours, partnering daily with Sales, Operations and Accounting.

Rate card analysis and pricing

•       Read and interpret carrier pricing cards and contracts for Ocean freight, Air freight and Domestic Parcel, including zones, weight breaks, dimensional weight, accessorials and fuel surcharges.

•       Calculate discounts, markups and margins as percentages and build customer-facing rate cards from carrier cost.

•       Model the impact of FedEx and UPS Peak Season surcharges, demand surcharges and General Rate Increases (GRIs) on cost and customer price.

•       Produce pricing cards quickly and accurately for new quotes, renewals and rate changes.

Margin protection

•       Ensure that when we sell GLS, DHL, UPS or FedEx services, new offers do not undercut or cannibalize margins in our existing book of business.

•       Compare proposed pricing against current customer rates and flag any offer that would pull existing customers into a cheaper, lower-margin service.

•       Recommend minimum margin floors and approval thresholds for Sales.

Credit monitoring and collections support

•       Monitor customer credit limits, exposure and payment behavior to keep credit healthy for business expansion.

•       Track prepay accounts and confirm funds are in place before shipping volume grows.

•       Request payment from customers when balances approach or exceed limits, and escalate to the AR team for collections as a secondary support.

•       Recommend credit limit increases, holds or prepay requirements based on risk.

Systems, documentation and process

•       Integrate approved pricing cards into Batchship.com systems correctly and verify that rates calculate as intended.

•       Keep an accurate record of every rate card version, effective date and approval.

•       Write and maintain an SOW / SOP covering how rate cards are built, approved, loaded and audited.

Cross-team collaboration

•       Work closely with Sales on quotes and deal pricing, with Operations on service and carrier fit, and with Accounting on billing accuracy and credit.

•       Communicate clearly with teams in the US and China, using translation tools where needed.

Required qualifications

•       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics (Statistics or Applied Mathematics also considered).

•       Strong numerical skills: percentages, margins, weighted averages and pricing models.

•       Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested formulas).

•       High attention to detail when reading contracts, rate tables and fine print.

•       Ability to work US business hours remotely from India.

•       Clear written and spoken English.
